How to apply
 Future


Submit the following materials;

Send to the Graduate School
- Graduate Application for Admission . Apply on line or download form from OSU Graduate College web page.
- Official transcripts from all colleges you have previously attended.
- Application fee. Fee is currently $40 for domestic students, and $75 for international students. Pay on line or as a check or money order in U.S. dollars, payable to "Oklahoma State University."
- TOEFL. Applicants whose native language is not English must also submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language examination. The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL exam is 213 (550 old system).
Use TOEFL Institution Code: 6546 and Department Code: 99.

Send to the Biosystems Engineering Department (by mail, or email to gbrown@okstate.edu)
- Resume (or CV)
- One page statement of Academic Objectives.
The statement should indicate your motivation, area of interest, and background. Please, only one page. Any text over one page will be discarded.
- Letters of Reference. Students wishing to be considered for financial assistance should also submit letters of reference from three faculty members or employers who are acquainted with your academic abilities. There is no standard form. Letter writers may submitted their letters via email.
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
* If you have graduated with a BS in engineering from an ABET accredited program (most in the USA), we do not need a GRE.
* If you have graduated from a foreign university, GRE scores are not required but are helpful in evaluating applications. There is no minimum required GRE score. We only use the score together with your transcripts and references. However, we seldom grant foreign students financial assistance unless they report their GRE scores.

When to Apply
Applications for Admission to the BAE Graduate program are processed when they come in. There is no deadline.
* We accept applications from US citizens and residents up to the first day of the semester. However, the sooner you apply, the better your chances of receiving financial assistance.
* Foreign students without Visas are encouraged to apply three months before the start of the semester to allow for the time needed to obtain a visa after admission.


The BAE Department does not respond to inquires concerning the availability of financial assistance before a Graduate Application for Admission has been submitted.
