Pius Ndegwa


Assistant Researcher

Introduction:
Dr. Ndegwa is a Waste Management Specialist and has a joint appointment between the departments of Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering and Animal Science. Before coming to OSU, Dr. Ndegwa had worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of Minnesota for two years. He has also previously been on the faculty of University of Nairobi (Kenya), as well as an adjunct-faculty at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (Kenya).

B.S., Agricultural Engineering, University of Nairobi -1986
M.S., Agricultural Engineering, University of Georgia -1990
Ph.D., Biological & Agricultural Engineering, University of Georgia -1999

Areas of Specialization
Physical, Chemical and Biological treatment of animal and other type of wastes for:
Odor control
Nutrient management
Production of value-added products
