The 6,162 sq. ft. research shop has a staff of
six; two machinists, two instrument makers, one electronic technician
and the laboratory manager, Wayne
Kiner. Equipment supported includes various lathes, mills,
welders, hydraulic presses and shears. In addition to the machine
tools, it has a full paint booth, fabrication areas for large
equipment and overhead cranes. With our skilled staff, the facility
provides the capability to fabricate most instrumentation and
experimental equipment required for the research, extension and
teaching programs.
