BAEL Main Entrance
Main entrance The Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Laboratory (BAEL) is a newly remodeled facility that contains several laboratories and departmental shop support. The main entrance is located off Cleveland St, with parking for visitors and handicap access. Remodeling was funded in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Read more about the renovation.

"Fertility"
FertilityGracing the main entrance corridor is the sculpture, "Fertility" by Mohammed and Suzanne Bilbeisi. This aluminum and steel construct was designed to represent the cycles of life and agriculture. Placed within the sculpture are symbols for the sun, moon, seasons, water and fertility. Also included are elements representing machines and man's interaction with nature. "Fertility" was fabricated by our great BAEL research shop staff.

The Bilbeisi's, now both faculty in the School of Architecture, were the primary architects responsible for the 1993-97 laboratory renovation. Visit Mohammed's and Suzanne's home pages.

BAEL Shop Entrance

Shop entranceThe shop entrance located on the east side is used by faculty and staff. A large overhead door in the center allows us to bring any piece of road-legal equipment into the shop. The wing on the left contains the 4' x 4' wind tunnel and processing lab, while the wing on the right contains the Ag mechanics teaching lab.
